Call for Submissions: New Category

2018 has been an impactful year! It’s hard to believe we’re already at the halfway point. Nevertheless, this is a great time for us to pause and examine where we are in this moment. We want to thank everyone for supporting our literary journal. We wouldn’t be where we are today without the generous help of our staff, readers, contributing writers, and supporters. We’re several months away from our seven-year anniversary and this journey has been nothing short of phenomenal.

We have incurred a few changes with regards to our submission guidelines. As such, we are issuing an updated call for submissions. Contributing writers will now receive print copies of our literary journals. Additionally, we are now accepting cover art submissions.

We look forward to continuing with our efforts to bring our readers more of the literary material they enjoy. In addition to our journal, we’re also accepting requests for blog content. We’re looking for interviews, book reviews, guest posts, and author spotlights.

Call for Submissions

2016 has been an amazing year! We want to thank everyone for supporting our literary journal, contests, and blog. We know it’s been a while since you’ve heard from us but we are back from our brief hiatus and we are excited to share some great news with our readers. We will be releasing Volume XIX and XX of the Torrid Literature Journal before 2016 is over. Each volume contains fresh new poems, stories, and interviews. In Volume XX, the 2016 winners of our annual literary contest will be revealed.

Additionally, we will begin accepting submissions for another anthology of Christian poetry to be published on August 1, 2017 under our Gateway Literature imprint.

As we wrap up 2016 and prepare for 2017, we are issuing an updated call for submissions. Our first volume of the Torrid Literature Journal in 2017 will be a special five-year anniversary edition. Send us your best work.

Call For Writers & Articles

It’s that time again. We are looking for professional authors, poets, editors, and publishers to write articles that weigh in on the latest topics that affect the literary industry today. We are looking for articles for Volume IV of the Torrid Literature Journal. This journal will be made available to the public online and in print October 1, 2012. In the past, several extraordinary and diverse literary professionals (Valerie Douglas, Oneal Walters, C.S. Splitter, Tricia Kristufek) have blessed our readers by providing in depth articles on various topics. We look forward to working with more literary professionals in the future. If you are interested, please send an email to our editor, Alice Saunders, at asaunders@torridliterature.com.

Several topics of interest:

1) Writing Your First Manuscript: Common Mistakes to Avoid

 2) How to market your book professionally and effectively

 3) Publishing Scams: Warnings Signs to Look Out For

This list is not exclusive. If you have another topic you would like to write on, please send contact me. We can become an even bigger blessing when we work together.
